 YOUR´S KMOTRA

The Kmotra Pizzeria Cafe, founded in 1993, is the oldest pizzeria in Prague and prepares pizza in a traditional wood-fired oven. We know that good Italian cuisine is based on high-quality fresh ingredients, meeting good manufacturing practices and with good people in the kitchen and in front of the stove. We are a family business with a homely atmosphere and prepare high-quality Italian cuisine at reasonable prices.

Few years ago  we entered the www.expats.cz competition for THE BEST PIZZA IN PRAGUE. Around 5,000 people voted in the poll and we finished in a fantastic 3rd PLACE. Thank you all.

In the beginning, during the 1990s, we only served pizza. Since then a lot has changed and our service has expanded. True, we still bake great pizza with real mozzarella, but we also serve fresh homemade pasta of different kinds and colours (which you can also buy raw from us and cook at home).

We offer typical Italian appetizers, great salads with a balanced composition that are suitable as main meals, feasts of meat and delicious fresh salmon.

The restaurant is divided into a cafe on the ground floor overlooking Voršilská Street and a huge basement area with a real wood-burning oven, where there is also a private room for about 30- 35 guests. There, we often organize corporate or family celebrations. The area is equipped with a large-screen TV, access to a PC, mixer and there's a small stage. Smoking is allowed only in the upstairs café area.

We carefully select wines for our wine list. In addition to the best Italian wines we focus on wines from the Velké Bílovice region whose mark ensures a guarantee of quality - e.g. the Vinselekt Michlovský vineyard, Stanislav Mádl, the Tetur vineyard, Skoupil and František Mádl.
For years, KMOTRA has organized openings and exhibitions. Currently, there is a long-term exhibition of lithographs for sale by František Flašar, author of the character Krakonoš of the beloved Czech fairy stories Krkonošské pohádky, or the first portrait of John Lennon on the famous Lennon´s wall on Klárov.

The decoration above the fireplace comes from the Academy- graduated artist Veronika Richterová. The Lamps in the pet-art style, are her invention and are constantly on the move!
